Regional Literacy Program
The Regional Literacy Program is made up of literacy providers and advocates, community organizations and members of the business community dedicated to fighting illiteracy in North Texas. The North Texas Future Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to solving critical issues affecting North Texas’ growth, formed the Regional Literacy Program to spearhead the organization’s efforts in literacy awareness.
Illiteracy has emerged as a primary threat to sustaining a strong, thriving economy in North Texas. The Regional Literacy Program recognizes the critical need in North Texas for cohesiveness in a regional literacy program in order to affect significant change toward a literate population, and more importantly, a qualified, literate workforce. Toward this end, the NTFF has worked to position itself as a clearinghouse for North Texas literacy providers and is committed to providing necessary resources to existing literacy providers and equipping new providers with support and resources to maintain successful literacy instruction programs.
The vision of the Regional Literacy Program is to strengthen communities and ensure a sustainable, thriving economy by exponentially reducing illiteracy in North Texas.
