North Texas Commission

The North Texas Commission's Board of Directors created the North Texas Future Fund on May 17, 2001, to identify, study and seek long-term solutions for issues affecting the region in the areas of education, economic development, regionalism, workforce development and population change.

Founded in 1971, the North Texas Commission (NTC) is a regional non-profit team of businesses, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, economic development entities and higher education institutions in the North Texas Region. A directory of members is available on the NTC website under Membership Directory.

The purpose of the North Texas Commission is to enhance and promote the economic vitality and quality of life of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex by providing leadership; acting as the catalyst for regional cooperation; identifying regional problems and issues; and helping create solutions for these problems and issues.

The NTC leads and coordinates the building of regional alliances to support these key initiatives. The NTC has active programs in areas such as aviation, transportation, environment, and long-range strategies and participates in many regional alliances and coalitions.

Any North Texas business, city, county, chamber of commerce, economic development entity or higher education institution may join the North Texas Commission.
